QA Lead

GW Products USA is seeking an experienced QA Lead with hands-on Odoo ERP experience to own and drive quality across our ERP platform and related software systems. This role is responsible for defining QA strategy, leading and mentoring the QA team, and ensuring reliable, scalable, and high-quality delivery across all Odoo modules, customizations, and integrations.
You will work closely with product owners, developers, and business stakeholders to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle and support the company’s growth through robust, well-tested systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage the QA team, providing technical guidance, performance feedback, and career development support
- Own and execute the QA strategy for Odoo ERP and related applications
- Define, implement, and maintain test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and QA processes
- Coordinate and oversee testing across multiple Odoo modules, releases, and projects
- Design and review manual and automated test cases covering Odoo workflows, configurations, custom modules, and integrations
- Ensure thorough functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing for all releases
- Identify, prioritize, and track defects; ensure timely resolution in collaboration with development teams
- Establish and monitor QA metrics and KPIs to measure quality, coverage, and release readiness
- Advocate for testing best practices, process improvements, and quality standards across teams
- Evaluate and recommend testing tools, frameworks, and automation strategies
- Ensure release readiness and sign-off based on defined quality standards
- Collaborate with product and leadership teams to manage risks, dependencies, and quality trade-offs
Must Have
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with 2+ years in a QA Lead or Senior QA role
- Hands-on experience testing Odoo ERP, including core modules such as Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, CRM, HR, or Project
- Strong understanding of ERP business workflows and how to validate them through testing
- Proven experience with manual testing and test management tools (Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar)
- Experience defining and managing QA processes and standards in Agile/Scrum environments
- Working knowledge of test automation concepts and frameworks (automation strategy ownership; coding is a plus)
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication abilities
Nice to have
- Experience testing custom Odoo modules, integrations, and third-party APIs
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium
- Familiarity with Odoo Studio, automated actions, and reporting
- Experience with performance, security, or load testing
- QA certifications (ISTQB, CSTE, or equivalent)
- Experience leading QA process improvement or automation initiatives
