Chief Architect – B2B Marketplace Platform

Reelo is building a next-generation, API-first B2B marketplace platform connecting wholesalers, distributors, and retailers across regulated and freight-heavy industries.
We are evolving from a validated $10M GMV wholesale operation into a scalable, distributed, event-driven marketplace infrastructure designed for long-term growth.
Own and design the core distributed architecture that will power:
- Multi-vendor marketplace systems
- Order orchestration & lifecycle management
- Payments, ledger & reconciliation systems
- Logistics intelligence
- ERP integrations (Odoo as system of record)
- AI-driven workflows & automation
- You will define the technical backbone of the company.

Experience
- 8–12+ years in backend/platform engineering
- Designed and scaled distributed systems in production
- Experience in B2B, marketplace, SaaS, fintech, or ERP-integrated platforms
- Strong domain-driven design (DDD) mindset
- Experience with transactional systems (payments, ledger, reconciliation)
Technical Stack
- Node.js / Go / Java / Python
- Strong PostgreSQL expertise
- Redis & caching strategies
- Kafka / RabbitMQ / PubSub
- AWS / GCP / Azure
